Bittersweet Horse Farm
Boarding
Bittersweet Horse Farm has moved to Martinsburg, West Virginia!
Now offering boarding in a very nice quiet & peaceful gated community. New location offers several streams and pond as well as trail riding & river access within community.
Farm is one hour or less away from TWO Equine Hospitals. Equine Medical Services (formerly R.E.A.C.H.) in Berryville, VA and Valley Equine Hospital in Charles Town, WV, including less than an hour away from Charles Town Racetrack.
Boarding services will include trailer parking, a code entry for the community gate, access to tack & feed room, 60-foot round pen, once a day grain (Blue Seal brand fed based on horse’s needs). During seasonal changes can provide fly care, hay and/or blanketing (must supply own fly care and blankets). Currently no stalls (working on that), but has several run-in shelters and many trees provide excellent shade.
Turnout is based on grain in-take fed once a day, so your horse would be guaranteed his/her share of food. Can provide supplements or more grain fed per day, fee negotiable based on owners' needs.
All horses are accepted except stallions.
Minis can receive limited-grass paddocks or monitored turn out.
Pregnant mares can be turned out with other pregnant mares and offer foaling watch when expecting. Also applies to mares with foals.
Geldings can be separated from mares.
All at your request.
